Requirements for registration:

Acceptable and valid ID such as Passport, government-issued driver’s license, military identification card and national identification card (non-digital).

Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Pune, Surat, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Chennai, Bangalore, Rajkot, Gurugram, New Delhi, Noida, Kolkata

Rescheduling:

Rescheduling can be done at any time via myPTE account.
If done 14 days or more before the test date, no fee will be charged.
If done 8-13 days before the test date, the charge will be 50% of the rescheduled test fee.
If done 7 days or fewer before the test date, the charge will be full for the new test booking.

Cancellation:

Cancellation can be done at any time via myPTE account. If done 14 days or more before the test date, one will receive a full refund. If done 8-13 days before the test date, one will receive a 50% refund of the original test fee. If done 7 days or fewer before the test date, one will not receive a refund of any kind.

Number of tests:

No limit to the number of tests one can take. However, they must wait to receive the scores of the previous test in order to book another slot.

Scores:

There is an Overall Score between 10 and 90, which grades one’s English ability against the Global Scale of English.
There are also individual scores for Communicative Skills – speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Skills profile shows guidance on one’s performance across eight language skill categories and helps with recommendations to help one further strengthen their English skills.

Parts of the Test	Time	Contains
Part 1: Speaking & Writing	54-67 minutes	7 questions. Tested on both speaking and writing skills, and use English from an academic environment
Part 2: Reading	29-30 minutes	5 questions. Tests ability to read academic English
Part 3: Listening	30-43 minutes	8 questions. Assesses listening skills through a series of audio and video clips
