University of The Fraser Valley

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), (formerly known as University College of the Fraser Valley and Fraser Valley College) is a Canadian public university with campuses in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission and Hope, British Columbia Founded in 1974 as Fraser Valley College, it was a response to the need for expanded vocational training in the communities of the Fraser Valley.

BCIS - Credit Transfer to UFV

⦿ Students completed 2 or 3 year information Technology from Mumbai University or Bangalore University are eligible for transferring their Credits earned during their study in India to UFV. They will be placed to UFV BCIS semester after receiving Official Transcript and Credit Transfer Evaluation by UFV. Transcripts are considered official when they are bearing the Institution\’s seal or authorized signature, and are in the original sealed envelope from the institution.
To graduate from a degree in CIS you will need to complete a minimum of 30 upper level credits, which are credits at the third and fourth year. Normally 10 courses (two four -month semesters) equal 30 credits. To complete these credits often takes longer. For example: You may also have to do up to five more courses that act as prerequisites for the 10 upper level courses, depending on what upper level courses you choose and which courses you have taken. You may also have to take a number of courses in the lower levels if you have not covered the topics at all in your degree, or if you have decided to change your major. Depending on when you come to Canada, you may have a limited choice of upper level courses, as not all are offered each semester.
